Lucky

I feel so very extremely lucky to have friends like Beth and Landon who are so incredibly talented.
Around the Utah State Fair time - Meg, Elise, Beth, Landon and I went to the fair together. Beth and Landon brought their fancy camera and were able to take some pretty awesome videos of all of us together doing ridiculous things around the fair grounds!

so without any further adieu:

While you're on their website be sure to check out the rest of their videos, they are nothing short of amazing, I promise you that!

So thank you Beth and Landon! You two really are so amazing and giving.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am ridiculously excited for halloween. I hope everyone is getting into the halloween spirit and eating lots of candy corn, decorating their houses, planning their costumes, going to haunted houses and getting ready for a great weekend!!!

tell me this isn't the best childhood memory of halloween books and i call you a liar.

So everyone get their school work done, study hard and get ready for halloween!

Grateful

I'm Grateful For:

a Best Friend.

you dont find many people in this lifetime that are always on the same page as you. i happened to have found one of those people and somehow we always seem to be thinking and wanting to do the same things.
not a whole lot of people can stand to lay out and tan from 12pm-4 but she can, and wants to!
she is always willing to help me do my make up and curl my hair and genuinely wants me to look good! i grew up with girls who would pull the "oh my gosh! you look great!!" even if i looked like crap.
she isnt afraid to tell me what looks better, or that i'm being a brat.
she has the best advice and isn't afraid to share it.
she looks out for me and will drop anything if i need her.
i'm so grateful i have found a friend like her that is an example to me and that i can look up to and trust telling anything to.
she is hysterically funny and has a heart of gold.

You can call me T-Sweezy, now I'm a rap star

Taylor Swift is in T-2 days. I'm pretty sure we bought these tickets literally a year ago and I can't believe the day is finally (almost) here!!
There will be an astronomical amount of pictures to come I'm sure.

Recently I've been pretty into running, which is weird because I hate running. But I hear it's good for you or something....crazy talk. Also rumor has it, it can get you a body like this.

I wouldn't be mad.

And as we are already planning Spring Break '12 (hopefully to CANCUN) I need to start working so I can look like Hope Solo.

so.... I guess my motto for the next few 6 months is going to be

Oh Life...

This past wednesday my Grandma McNeil (mom's mom) passed away. It did not come as a shock, she was really sick but nonetheless it was a sad day.

My cousin Kerri and I drove out to California that next morning for her funeral. We hadn't seen each other in years but its amazing how in twelve hours you can rekindle a friendship. It was also really fun to see how we had the same sense of humor and just were able to get along so well. She drove the whole way there (and back) she's a saint. She claims it was because she had spent countless hours on a bus when she was at the Jerusalem Center in Israel this past summer but maybe she read my blog on all my car troubles. Whoops.

Friday came and it was Grandma's viewing and Saturday morning was her funeral. Jordan and his wife and three boys were able to come from Washington and Jeremy flew in from North Dakota. This was the first time all of us siblings had been together in 7-8 years! I loved every second of it. It was so great being all together. You know my grandma was a big deal when she can bring the Weber kids to the same town. Not only was I able to hang out with my two awesome brothers but hanging out with all of my cousins was too much fun. I think everyone had fun (even the grownups, yep i still consider myself a kid), I heard rumors of a family reunion in the works.

Jordan (he kept reminding everyone he was a really big deal as he walked around in his military dress uniform), Me, Jeremy
My grandparents on their wedding day

It was really fun being able to be with some of my cousins and hang out, we went to a movie and ate lots of In-N-Out and El Pollo Loco. We reminisced with my Grandpa about the good times we had with Grandma and how they impacted our childhoods. My Grandma was one of the greatest people I know and one of the greatest examples. She lived a great life with an even better family. She had written a letter about her life that was read at her funeral . In it she wrote that she every night as she lay down to go to bed she would as her self "Have I done any good in the world today?"This has stuck with me ever since that day. Even at her death she was able to be an example to me. She is and will be missed by all who knew her, but she is in a better place now and reunited with her mom, dad and siblings. So, until we meet again...RIP Grandma, you are amazing.

Sorry I'm not Sorry

Well it has been a while, I find that I am not as witty as I want to be anymore when it comes to writing these blog posts. But I'll give it the 'ole college try.

So, summer has come and gone (too fast) with summer school sucking the fun out of it...okay, okay I might be exaggerating a little. I still had a TON of fun, but it might have been a tad more fun with out summer school in the mix.

As soon as summer school ended, I went to NY to visit my friends for 8 days. Vicki played host to me for the week and it was as if I never left! We did our usual activities (when she wasn't being an adult and at work)

-manis/pedis (paws and claws, as Vicki calls it)
- watched and obscene amount of TV shows (Teen wolf, PLL etc)
- ate too much...pff, can never eat too much good food
- make red velvet cup cakes
- saw Glee 3D (despite Vicki crying about wearing the "not cool" 3D glasses)
- went to the movies again and saw crazy, stupid love
-went shopping way too much

and many other activities. You might be thinking, "did she spend all of her time with Vicki?" well no I did not, even though we probably could have! Much time, but not enough was spent with all of the friends I wanted to see. It was crazy how much I had missed them.

But, I hate to admit it...I did miss Utah a little bit.

So I came home and did this. Not shocked.

S.T.R.E.S.S.E.D.

I am a list person.
It calms me down to see everything in my life written down on a calendar and all laid out in front of me.
This is what my July looked like.

okay, okay it doesn't look as bad seeing it now..but it felt busy.

And now with finals for summer school coming up, moving out, work, and leaving for NY...I'm feeling more stressed.

so, I am going to write it all out.

two 8 page papers
3 finals
a geography quiz
3 assignments
moving out
working 15 hours

again...doesn't seem so bad writing it out.

the good news is on friday Sam J. and I are going shopping!!

much needed.

ps. Skydiving was amazing, i want to go again and again. maybe bungee jumping next?

there's proof i did it!

HP was also fantastic.

blah, blah, blah, boring life, SKYDIVING

i've been kind of avoiding blogging because i couldn't think of anything to say...is anyone surprised? ha

here's an update... i've been doing a lot of working. which is great! who doesn't love $$$
when i'm not working you can usually find me at megs house or elise's! and truthfully i dont think i could ever get sick of either one of them!

last night beth had a dessert party and movie night at her and landon's house and it was awesome! obvi. so megs made her delicious applesauce/chocolate chip cookies and then she helped me make the "momma weber's chocolate cake" (or "better than sex cake" which landon assured me it wasnt. haha.) but i needed LOTS of help with this cake (also a shout out to my other mom, momma kells, the cake wouldnt have come out of the pan with out her!) the end masterpiece was amazing. i forgot how much i loved this cake!

harry potter 7 pt. 2 comes out at midnight tomorrow! on the downside i do have to work until 10 but that is not going to stop me from dressing up, using a wand, casting spells on everyone around me and getting a dark mark on my arm!

everyone better watch this video. you will love it.

on saturday 4-5 of us are going SKYDIVING!!!!! yayayaya. okay im excited now but we'll see how i am when i actually have to jump. I love doing stuff like this so i really think im going to love it. i'll let you know the end result. im stoked though!!!

we (megs elise and i) have been obsessed with jenna marbles videos. if you havent seen them. youtube them right now....i mean it. stop reading this and do it. her justin bieber video has been a staple in all our conversations. every wednesday is like christmas (she comes out with new videos on wednesdays) duh.

    Things to be Happy About

In high school one of my English teachers had a book "14,000 Things to be Happy About" and every other day in class another girl and I would read a few to each other. Then we got thinking, we can totally make our own list! So we started making our own list of things that make us happy. Then as college-essay-topic time started rolling its ugly head around the corner and I had a few rough drafts and almost one completed essay, I completely changed my mind. Our teachers had been emphasizing how we need our essays to stand out and be remembered so my college essay was the list of things that made me happy. I don't have the list anymore because it's on my old computer which is in storage, but I think I'm going to start it again, with new things that make me happy! And it worked out, I got into all the colleges I applied for but ironically Utah was the one school that did not require an essay...just my luck!

A few of the ones I remember off the top of my head:

    1. Going to the florist and opening up the refrigerators that the flowers are in
    2. a fresh block of cheddar cheese
    3. turning on your windshield wipers the first time after it's rained
    4. runner's high
    5. fresh sheets

I think I'm going to go to the storage place and get my old computer, I can't remember the rest! Work in progress I guess

On a side note, I wanted to thanks Elise, Meg and Em for being there when I had my slight mental/emotional breakdown the other day. You guys are the best! Some times a girl just needs to cry! haha
    Love you all

    It's Almost June? What??

As I am looking at my computer and it says "Friday, May 27" I kind of thought it was wrong for a second. I'm sorry, May 27, you must be mistaken MacBook. Then I remembered its a MacBook Pro and it can do no wrong.

I'm not sad about it not being May anymore, May did me well. Minus the whole starting summer school thing, but I don't hate it as much knowing I'm in the same boat with Elise, Meg and Em. Misery loves company right?

    On the up side:
I was on the Dean's list this semester
Our lacrosse team got 3rd at Nationals!!! (boy am I missing Scottsdale's warmth right now)
My parents came and helped me move into the Gilmer house!! (yay!)

Bridesmaids came out, in fact I just got back from my third time seeing it. (yes, it is that good!)

The Hangover Pt. 2 came out also, which I have to say was not as good as the first or Bridesmaids but still, pretty funny.

I got a job at J.Crew (the outlet in Park City) and could not be more excited!! Tomorrow I get to work with Sam J. Amazing clothes and my best friend, is that even work?

One of my best friends from back home is in San Diego for the summer, he just arrived today! Can someone say 'road trip'!

But I have a feeling June is going to be even better!!

For starters: MY BIRTHDAY! June 4th people, mark it on your calendars.
It's really strange, I can't think of anything that I want for my birthday. My mom asked me yesterday and I could not think of one thing...knowing me it will come to me a week after my birthday...crap.

Second of all: BETH'S GETTING MARRIED!!! tonight I went to dinner with Meg, Elise, Beth and Landon and Elise and I got to watch some video from their Bridals/Groomals - it was amazing. They are both perfect!! Landon had his wedding ring on and it felt so real! I can't wait for them to get married!

I have a good feeling about this month!

    Prince Charming

So what I'm Team Blair and Louis.

But if it doesn't work between them I'd be more than happy to take him off her hands

    No Internet? I'm sorry...what?

For the past, oh I don't know...week or so there has been no internet at the Gilmer house.

    Death.

I have an iPhone so it was semi-ok but not really. Not to mention everyone was gone for that week. Megs was in Powell, Em and Elise were in Cali and the rest were in Mead.

But good news! Internet arrived today and everyone is home! Could not be happier. Now I don't have to spend my free time in the Huntsman parking lot using their WiFi....did I say that out lout?

The only thing that could make this better is this cold to go away! How exactly do you get a cold in the summer? Maybe it's because summer school officially started today...crap.

But summer school won't ruin summer! I love it wayyyyy too much!
I have a feeling this summer is going to be a good one.

Jay Bird is coming out to UT tomorrow to help me FINALLY move out of the apartment and move into a house with a bunch of ChiO's! I am sooo excited!!! Then its off to Nationals and then summer school...not great but next summer I will be free! Although this summer I do have to do school work I think it is going to be amazing.

    1. already have a Vegas trip planned

    2. P90x with Meg

    3. Laying out all day with Meg

    4. Going to see Mike Mac in San Diego

    6. Hopefully making it back to NY (cross your fingers on me getting a job!)

    7. BETH GETTING MARRIED!

It's true...I have the BEST friends.

Although i grew up in NY, i am slowly starting to call Utah "Home". It kills me a little inside but, the people i have met here are making it a little bit easier. I felt like reminiscing, so here are some of my favorite things/people from NY.

Sylvan Way- What a great street sign
Steph and I at our Senior BBQ
     Jake and I at graduation
Marisa and I at Jr. Prom (we were seniors)
My group of friends the night before I left for UT in front of our HS

If you're thinking, 'wow she looks young' it's because we were 16.
    Andrew and I
     Elyssa, Grant, Lauren and I
    Ty and I

But this semester has been the best. The girls i went on the cruise with and the girls on my lacrosse team are my family here. Literally. i am so grateful for them! i could write all day about them and post a million pictures but its almost time fore Easter dinner with the Welch's!! couldn't be more excited!

    Confession

I have a very obsessive personality. When I find something I like....well...let's just say, it's not good.

    Thing I'm currently obsessed with:

    Justin Bieber.

    Sue me. I love him.

honestly....how could you not? after seeing Never Say Never 3D, I became obsessed and never looked back. I wasn't a huge Bieber fan before...and now I have the Beibonic Plague. Not even mad about it.
